Currently, Substack does not allow users to directly edit HTML tags or the HTML head section of their publication pages, which includes adding HTML verification tags like those required by Google for site verification.
For tracking user visit analytics, Substack supports integration with Google Analytics where you can use a Google Measurement ID. If you're looking to verify your site with Google or another service that requires HTML tag insertion, you'll need to use alternative verification methods such as DNS verification through your domain provider.
Substack removed the Google verification input in the user interface.
Try to contact support@substack.com and see if they can manually verify or add your code to your URL.
