“Run while you still have the chance.”

Good advice!

You learn something every day!

It's interesting how our experience and perceptions take us to logical, but wrong, conclusions.

One of the first 'big box' stores in Australia was called 'Half-Case Warehouse'. You literally had to buy a minimum of half a case of something.

The association in my mind was 'big box' (of stuff) and lower prices.

Same with CostCo .... and others I've seen around the world.

Add the fact that goods in these places were often displayed in their 'big boxes', rather than in carefully arranged shelf displays....

From all that, I always thought I knew the reason for the name; it never occurred to me it was about the way the stores were built.

Who woulda thunk?

Thanks ☺️

LOL, I feel the same after learning this stuff. Who'd a Thunk? would be a good name for a similar Curious Mind Blowing newsletter idea!

It would! The number of times I say that in a week ..... there'd be plenty of material 😊

…depressing run here from pringles can man to knowing that the majority of my vacation days are in a phone…but 10% of us kissing cousins…that explains far too much about the quality of our species…

HNY Paul!! OpenAI just bought chat.com for $15M and I wonder how friend.com startup (paid $2M in VC money) will do this year?

Happy New Year to you and yours! You out of town for a while?

Yeah, saw that. Here’s the podcast I was telling you about. The major shaeholder for hubspot, Dharmesh sold it to Open AI.

oh interesting, he's the dude! that's some foresight and also crazy to have 8 figures to throw around. 20 years ago (!) when Microsoft released it's first chat product - Live Communications Server - we aspired to have business chatbots. Isn't it nuts that it took another big CRANK of the tech wheel for them to take off

I'm around this week and next before I take off if you wanna catch up!

I have to proofread my spelling in the comments...jeez. Love to catch up. Hit me up in the chat with a good day/time for you. I'm pretty flexible.

Well, I check my phone maybe four times a day. I must be a freak. (Oh, and taking the phone into the toilet? Gross.

4x is pretty light. Clearly, we are not the target market. Thanks for your support, Jim.
