Very interesting, Paul. I thought if I had the name Lizzie Borden in the title of the article (H1)Google would make it available to Lizzie Borden Google Alert Subscribers but I have not seen it to be true.

It can take up to 6 months for Google to rank your pages high. But once you get there, it will have been worth the wait! If I were promoting a product, I would buy Google ads until I got the first page ranking, then cut out the ads.

I still don't know what that means in terms of my articles going out to google alert subscribers by adding "site" before the URL, I'm sorry.

This is just a way to check if Google is indexing (making available to Googlers) a particular website. It is showing 3 results: Your archive, about and coming soon pages are moving up the ranks.
