This is an outstanding summary of prepping for Google! The thing to remember is your newsletter is a website, so website SEO applies when it comes to placing in Google organic results. Here's a good article that helps you understand the associated jargon: https://moz.com/beginners-guide-to-seo/why-search-engine-marketing-is-necessary
Very interesting, Paul. I thought if I had the name Lizzie Borden in the title of the article (H1)Google would make it available to Lizzie Borden Google Alert Subscribers but I have not seen it to be true.
It can take up to 6 months for Google to rank your pages high. But once you get there, it will have been worth the wait! If I were promoting a product, I would buy Google ads until I got the first page ranking, then cut out the ads.
This is just a way to check if Google is indexing (making available to Googlers) a particular website. It is showing 3 results: Your archive, about and coming soon pages are moving up the ranks.

if you search this, it will show the articles that are starting to find their way up the Google ladder: site:https://lizziebordenaudio.substack.com/
include "site:" before the url.
I still don't know what that means in terms of my articles going out to google alert subscribers by adding "site" before the URL, I'm sorry.

Oh, okay, well, good then! I guess I can look forward to seeing that. Many thanks!
I love the "Site:" operator trick.
Damn! Paul with the value πͺ
