The Deplatformable Newsletter is becoming the most valuable newsletter I get. Most newsletters rant. Other newsletters waste my time. Some newsletters say in 200 words what can be said in 5 words. Deplatformable helps me survive the digital world and its myriad stresses. There are so many things that I don't know , which I need to know, and this newsletter gives me CONCRETE SOLUTIONS TO MY PROBLEMS.
That has been insanely informative. Thanks a lot Paul! I recently started by Substack and I was looking for ideas to grow my readership. You have some solid points which I intend to make use of. I had a question.
If I am using the exact same content on 2 platforms say Substack and Medium, do I take one as the main platform and the other as the side one? Like which one do I promote on my socials or on other places like Twitter?
And do I have to link to Medium one in Substack and vice versa?
You can link to both from the other. I would say that your Substack post should be the main platform because Medium is not free and has lost some readership in the past year or so. Publish the story on both platforms, but in the long run you will have more readers on Substack.
What are your thoughts on having a blog on multiple platforms that post the same things though? For example, if I make a blog on substack and medium and ghost posting the same articles to bring in as many views across platforms as possible.
If I’m looking to eventually get paid via having ads up on my blog, will this help or hurt my efforts?
Hi Tariq...thanks for subscribing! It is perfectly fine to submit your posts to multiple websites. Google does not penalize duplicate content as it once did. That in essence is what the article is all about. Post away! If you send a welcome email to a new subscriber, read this: https://pau1.substack.com/p/-which-email-message-has-the-highest?s=w
Thanks! This post could be seen as a very deep rabbit hole ... or a master class in the world of social media writing. Actual both and I may be lost for a few days, but confident I will emerge wiser.
Already making a big dent in my barrel of unknowing. Getting ready to remodel everything. You could be charging for this information. Very generous of you to make it available to all of us.
This was SO informative!! Thanks so much! Wow. I have a community on Reddit I participate in a lot and plan to post there in June so we’ll see how it goes! I’ll have to prepare my writings in advance and I’m excited! Also love the Twitter idea and all the links to make it easier! Thanks!

You are the best!
Very practical advice, thank you.
Thanks, Ben. Hope you implement some of these ideas.
What about Facebook and Instagram? Not worth using?
I exclude facebook properties because I don’t use them regularly. They’re fine to use, just not for me. Thanks for commenting!

Hope that answers your question, Sruthy.
