Long story short, Prince played real well!

...the looks on Harrison's son's face throughout this really tie the piece together...i used to live down the street from Prince and have many a story...Paisley Palace is down the street from a Target and strip mall lol...but let's just say this jam is one of 100's of amazing reasons why Prince might have been one of the greatest if not the greatest artist's of all time...coupled with his Super Bowl performance and every single scene in Purple Rain (but esp. Darling Nikki) the dude is an impenetrable delight...thanks for the share...

Superbowl performance remains mesmerizing. Perfection. And in the rain.

I've seen this one a few times. I understand Prince was a maestro with multiple instruments. Dave Grohl once said said Prince was by far a better drummer than him. A prodigy, no doubt.

I never appreciated his abilities when he was around, but he is surely one of the most multi talented artists I have seen. (watched on video’s)

Prince’s Tele got played ten times more in that solo than most guitars get in their whole life...

I'm late to the discussion, but I remember seeing this whenever it aired on HBO and it was total goosebumps. I am a huge Prince fan, but watching all these legends watching Prince play took it to a new level. Sure he's an odd musical magician, not the sort to chat over a cup of coffee with, but probably the most captivating live performer I've ever seen. I was lucky to catch his 3rd to last show before he passed. It was just him and a piano and it was transcendent. In terms of live concerts, I've had a similar feeling at Tom Petty shows too. Hopefully, the two are jamming together as I type this.

Mike Lindell from My Pillow has a cool story about/with Prince in his book "What are the Odds?" They lived in the same area. Re Prince: They don't make 'em like that, anymore. Unfortunately.

LOL. I read Mike Lindell, nice. Will check out that story. Thanks James!
