What about all the trees cut down to handwrite these letters? And all the squid bludgeoned for their black ink? What sort of murderous monsters created this project?
I joke -- it's how I tend to respond to overwhelming issues (just ask my wife). But in all seriousness, I appreciate you sharing this site. Many of the scientists here are far more optimistic than I am.
I'm going to read these later so I can offer a more cogent response. I've mulled this around a lot, and I know my feelings are many-sided and nuanced. In other words, I'm not dogmatic on anything. This will be worthwhile reading, Thanks, Paul.
I'm with you on the many-sided thinking. I made a living in Alberta selling to oil execs for 20 years. So I am definitely biased. However I pride myself on being open minded, and hopefully that will allow me to see both sides. But there is no black or white answer here. Look forward to your conclusions, Jim.

Thanks for the comment, Steve...didn't realize how they made ink. Kinda tragic.
But, yeah. I have read and studied a bit about this topic, and I think I'm happy straddling the middle of that tar stained road...for now.

It makes you think...great comment.
