I have, at last count, 113 passwords according to Windows. Many are to accounts I no longer use, but still ...
I have all of the valid ones on a word document which I've shared with my oldest son as he is the executor of my will. But I also can't remember a password I created yesterday, so ... Anyway, thanks for this, Paul.
Very interesting. I use to remember my passwords until I got too many. I keep the list on a LibreOffice Calc spreadsheet. It makes it easier to copy and paste when I need them. I have a few I remember by heart.
At the beginning of my exposure to the digital world, I got a kick out of passwords. Every password was my chance to write, in code, something that stood for something massively momentous and incandescent with ego, balls and a fearsome IQ. It was like I was putting little notes in a bottle which would provide a sort of treasure map to the truth of life
As I got older, and my intellect, eneregy and interest in new things waned, and I became more and more baffled by the digistal world, I paraphrased a statement attributed to Shakespeare and said, "First, let's killl all the computer nerds in Silicon Valley."
