We really are brothers from another mother, aren't we? This is right up my alley.

By the way, who was the lead vocalist that night? I know Keef must have done some of them, but not all, right?

Oh, this little aside caught my attention ... "Daytona beach on a bus with 4 guys and 36 girls from college." You are my hero!

We are bros.

Ronnie Wood sang lead on most numbers (with Richards, McLagan and Clarke providing back-up vocals).

What a great collection of talent that was. You were lucky to see them in one of their few gigs. Keep rockin' it Paul. My ears are still ringing too.

Thanks Jim. I guess tinnitus catches up with all of us older rock and rollers ? Yes, the talent on the stage was all greatness.

Paul! You’re a Detroiter!!!

From one to another, your description of spending any amount of time at Cobo, musical or otherwise… I can smell it right this minute.

Also, can’t even imagine that show. Barely to be believed.

You're from Detroit, Paul?

Sahweeet! πŸ™Œ Me too! Cobo, Olympia, and Pine Knob were the Golden Triangle for me...Silverdome wasn't as cool, but there were some big, big shows there too

Hi Paul. I grew up in Windsor, and hung around in Detroit. We used to go to the Gospel Churches to feel the soul on Sundays. I was in my teens at that time. I've written a few articles about Detroit you might enjoy. https://pau1.substack.com/p/the-rise-and-fall-of-detroit

I certainly am a lucky human. Yes it was a cool experience. I lost my band 3 years ago. No not like Lynyrd Skynyrd. I moved to another province. But you are right about hanging around, playing and going to concerts. Thanks for the comment!

Zig and Stanley Clarke? Holy shit that must've been some cookin' goin' on.

You're a very lucky human for having seen that; but I gotta tell ya, there's still great rock n' roll being made out here, with real instruments and real sweat. The only thing it lacks is folks like you in the room with it.
