Hey, Paul. I'm retired. I don't worry about diddly squat. (Is that a saying in Canada?)

Happy New Year!

Thanks Jason, the analogy of the rogue wave is excellent. The visual sticks in the brain and will allow for easy recall. It's a funny/not funny part of the human condition that we try to control a difficult situation that we can do nothing about by thinking about it constantly. I appreciate the reminder to let go of that craziness.

Paul, I appreciate you sharing this great piece. Happy New Year to you and your family!

I recently subscribed to Entrepreneur,

and this excellent article confirms my decision!

I agree with his insight, as long as it is actually so

that there is nothing I can do about the matter at hand.

When there IS something I can do, and it NEEDS to be done,

if I throw the whole matter on the ocean (example: the 2024 election)

I am passively enabling the worst outcome.

It comes down to the Serenity Prayer:

God grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change,

the courage to change the things I can,

and the wisdom to know the difference.
