You mean to tell me that my Viking horns (which I only wear to formal social gatherings) were originally made by a fashion designer?!?! Next thing you're gonna tell me is that my mead was originally brewed by Molson.
"If you hear "Stars and Stripes Forever" at a circus, you better run toward the exits. Circuses use the song as a way to alert employees that there's a disaster afoot, and they won't play the song at any other times...."
I've never been to the circus, but if I hear that song . . .
with my luck the tiger would eat the guy, the lion would eat the gal, and the rest of the critters would break free and run around the countryside and disappear forever into the woods!
I am very disappointed Vikings didn’t really wear badass horn hats :/ The California/Canada numbers remind me how massive CA California is by every measure and I’m always surprised at CA Canada’s low population and how it is concentrated (90%-ish?) in a stripe along the border. Paul I was in your fine country last week and it was very nice indeed 🇨🇦
😆Seattle to Vancouver and from there to Victoria for a few days. I tried the drive once before when I was in grad school at UW but my car broke down before the border, so we looked at some tulips and then had to turn back. This time we prevailed.
Thanks, Paul, for the mention, and the encouraging optimism! But, I'm afraid all I can muster for the ID of "The Most Mysterious Song on the Internet" is the most mysterious response on the internet to the identity of 'The Most Mysterious Song on the Internet"! That's my story, and I'm sticking to it, by golly!
So, there's been an awful lot of sleuthing on it already! If it were another time, like just a couple years before '83, I might have a better chance at "boots on the ground" rememberies! But, in late '83, I returned to college (at 28) to switch career gears!
I've skimmed that Wiki article, and I'm now, intrigued at the notion of making the research within "come to life" a bit by chronicling the research already done, and accompanying it all with music....the song links and/or videos that might exist that follow the search over the years! I'd be willing to collab, too, with any of our #MusicStack-ers who might want to delve into the deep unknown (and this topic, as well)!😁So, DM me, if you're interested in piggy-backing on this, fellow music writers!
And, thanks again, Paul, for your always eager and Eagle-eyed spotting of the curious, the bizarre, and especially, giving me yet another reason to not go to the circus.....for that alone, I can't thank you enough!🤡🤡🤡🤡🤡🤡🤡🤡🤡😱!
...i would enjoy this dam pocket computer (iphone) about 50x more if we had just continued calling it a "Walky Phone"...
Good name "iWalky phone".
Lots of good ones here....
Does anyone know of any circus disasters that were 'starred and striped'? 🤡
Russia's 11 time zones – impressive, but....
Officially France has 12 (OK, it includes its overseas territories as well) 🙂
Awesome, Janette!
This reminds me of an old newspaper columnist named L. M. Boyd.
Thank you Ken. Haven't heard about L.M.Boyd, but will do some research.

Thanks Andrew! Us Canadians all hope you had a great time. :)
We did, indeed pls pass along my thanks to everyone. Drove across the border - that was a 1st!
I just thanked all of us Canadians. They say “You are very welcome, sir!”
Which crossing - from where to where did you travel?

Excellent trip. We've taken the ferry from Seattle to Victoria, BC. Glad you tried again!

Against all odds (and my hopes), I actually put that into the mighty Wiki, and sho'nuff, it came up!👇https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Most_Mysterious_Song_on_the_Internet

Nice comment, bro! I’m sure if the circus wants you, they’ll come and get you…
By the way… Brad is the most knowledgeable music person on the internet.
Thanks, Paul! Much appreciated! As for your, "I’m sure if the circus wants you, they’ll come and get you…", all I can say is, "What, AGAIN?!?"🤡👍
LOL!
The inflation figures for fast food are certainly mind-blowing.
Yes, but not too surprising.
