I did not know that the term wifi was created by marketers and I find it bizarre that a corporation owns the tooth fairy! I love all your head shakers Paul!

I remember the Lorne Michaels/Beatles offer at the time! Here's a short video with a recreation, plus actual audio interviews with a couple of the principals, as well as a surprise ending with Lorne and one of the other Beatles! At the time, the live TV ask by Michaels included this hilarious line (paraphrased): "That's $3,000 for all four of you.....if you wanna give Ringo less, that's up to you!" https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HL3Foo7ZokY

Golly....thanks, Paul! One of my favorite rock-love moments....when a famous, beyond-wealthy rocker can poke some good-natured fun at him- or herself, roll with the punches, and do some self-deprecating humor!

A few months later (1978). lest we forget, George and his Monty Python cohorts were all over the uproarious "The Rutles" send-up!!! And, don't you think that much of the inspiration for Rob Reiner and gang to concoct "This is Spinal Tap" came from "The Rutles"?

"Yes" is the correct answer!

It was certainly on Reiner's radar...had to be.....should-a been!! BTW, the folks who were in Spinal Tap were once in an L.A.-based comedy/skit troupe called The Credibility Gap.

I had their 1971/2 album, "A Great Gift Idea"! High-larious! https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Credibility_Gap

Here's the brilliant Harry Shearer (he voiced virtually all the non-Simpson voices on "The Simpsons") and David L. Lander in a rare televised skit by the Gap: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ludCVowT-DE

One of my favorite tracks from the Gap album:

Sometimes the best written songs, poetry, etc. are ones that have required very little labor! Thanks for sharing, Paul!

Go Adriano Celentano!

His song makes as much sense as a lot of ‘real’ English lyrics we hear these days 😉
