Health is more important than anything (A True Story)
Family is right up there also
We all have everything within us to live a fulfilling and happy life
Move - Keep Active by walking outside and exercising with weights daily
I need to stay hydrated and sleep well
Laugh out loud once in a while - lighten up dude
Strive to keep inflammation to a minimum
Lose the ego
I have won the genetic lottery, Iβll try not to squander those winnings
Be kind to myself and to others
Everybody has a story
Donβt judge other people (I am bad at this too)
Stay sober - dry life
As I become older, I become less tolerant of stupidity and closed mindedness
Walk, stand, and sit while practicing good posture
There is a difference between being smart and wise - choose wise first
Constantly be learning
Quality is far more important than quantity in most cases
Simple is better than excess and complexity
Practice Gratitude
Practice Guitar
Appreciate everything - small and big
Being open-minded is a superpower
Practice willpower
Be honest
I donβt do well with loss - way worse than the good I should feel with a win
Donβt try to control or change other people
Donβt compare yourself to others
I donβt care what other people think about me
Donβt blame other people for my problems
Itβs not worth trying to change someoneβs mind (except if you are selling something that will help them make money, save money, or save them time)
We all have false memories
Give with no expectations (Are You a Giver or a Taker?)
We all have Imposter Syndrome

Be humble, and not take myself too seriously
I find Iβm happiest when I am creating
If you feel like you have just lost a couple of hours doing something, do more of that thing
Feel empathy - help and listen when helpful
Try to be mindful of biases
Iβll try not to let others influence my feelings
Listen more than talk (I am bad at this)
At this point in my life, I have nothing to prove to anyone else
Surprise someone with a compliment
I wonβt step on the little live things, nature can decide when itβs their time
Strive to be a better person every day (compound)

Savor each moment, be mindful, and appreciate those moments

I Will Not Worry about anything that is not in my control - especially the future
Eliminating friction from my life becomes an important pursuit
Mike Tyson famously said, "Everybody has a plan until they get punched in the mouth."
I donβt use plans, and Iβve been punched in the mouth
today is the best day of my life
I am an imperfect human
I used to have cold showers on this list, but Iβve since stopped :)
As long as I have access to Food, Shelter, Water, Sleep, Other People, and some sort of Purpose, and reference the above list occasionally, I will have created a purposeful and rewarding life.
As are most of my newsletters here on Substack, this one is also a living document. By that I mean that I will update it as new ideas flow into my mind, or new reference material can add to the gist of the piece.
Yes, there are more than 50. But ish looked a little weird in the title :)
