A comic sold for over nine million buck! What the heck?! Imagine what that could do in a third world country - Superman would be ashamed.

Also there are many other crazy tidbits in this issue, way to go Paul. Always so interesting!

Thanks Donna. I appreciate you reading. How's your weather so far? Kelowna just got a skiff of snow, but melted in the day...so nothing yet...hovering around 0ΒΊC.

We have a skiff too and temp just dropping a bit. It’s -7 this morning. Any sun there? We haven’t had too much.

Not bad for December. But mostly cloudy here - unfortunately not much sun:(

But beats Calgary weather by miles, so there's that!

Yes, we are both on the right side of the mountains:)

How on earth did they figure out that butterfly’s and moths have memories of their caterpillar days? Random interviews? Electrodes? Psychic channeling! Gotta love modern science, and the folks who say, β€œHey, let’s study moths and see if they remember their childhoods!’

I agree, how would anybody know these things?

Maybe in 2008, NPR knew that one day, say 17 years in the future they could get into my newsletter with this great clickbait. Β―\_(ツ)_/Β―

Here is the article: https://www.npr.org/2008/03/10/88031220/study-moths-can-remember-caterpillar-days

BTW, is Professor MARTHA WEISS (Biologist) a relative?

"Weiss says it was all part of a study of moth memory."

Mind blown yet?

The world never ceases to amaze me. As for Martha Weiss, I don't know her, but I'm sure somewhere back in time there's a familial connection.

Your newsletter is doing well on Substack! Hope it works for you!

When you speak with Aunt Martha, let her know to follow us...

Maybe try asking ChatGPT how to advertise on its homepage?

Thanks for the idea. It’s intriguing!

-Star Wars sold a lot more tickets, but I liked Close Encounters waay better. Star Wars is like a cartoon movie to me.

-Bees are not native to North America? Who knew?

-Jakarta has more people than the whole of Canada!

Thanks for commenting, Blaine! Good to see you here. We are still aligned in what we like. Close Encounters for sure. Who'd have thought that Jakarta was so populous? Maybe you, cause you were there!

Yes, but I was in Jakarta 50 years ago (this year) and I'm sure it's changed. :-)
